Why did the police wait?

April 20, 2007 Leave a comment

Ok this has got me a bit fired up. I just read this story about the guy who heard Cho off himself. A few things stand out from the story that make me ask why the police waited.

Professor Jocelyne Couture-Nowak told her students to dial 911, just seconds before Cho entered the room and sprayed bullets, wounding Colin in the leg. Cho “went first through one row of desks and started shooting just randomly,” Ann Goddard said.

Cho then left the classroom, she said, and returned minutes later.

Colin lay on the classroom floor, playing dead. He “turned his head and actually saw the shooter’s shoes come right up next to his body,” Ann Goddard said. “The shooter was standing right next to him.”

The gunman again shot Colin, hitting him in the shoulder and buttocks. Then he walked to the front of the classroom, she said.

Two gunshots were followed by silence.

Police broke that silence as they stormed the room, shouting, “shooter down! black tag!” Goddard said, which apparently are code words indicating deaths at the scene.

So we have Cho who was just calmly executing people, leave and re-enter the same classroom. Obviously from the guys statetment the cops knew where he was and must have been following him. WHY, WHY, WHY, did they decide to wait until he had killed himself? Why did they restrain from taking this guy down no matter what the cost to there own life or limb? Are police officer lives more valuable than student lives? Have police not been trained to take down armed suspects? How many students could have been spared if the cops would have rushed this guy guns blazing? Where are all the heros in our police force? The real hero here is the guy who played dead while he got shot again, not the cops who waited till the threat was gone! What is wrong with this picture? Some serious questions need to be asked and some serious answers need to be given. I would say its as much the police’s fault that those students are dead as it is Cho’s. Lets see, Police and SWAT wear body armor that can easily stop a 9mm or .22 caliber bullet, yet your average student is wearing one layer of cotton or two at best. Really? Do we need to hide behind trees and cars while innocents are being slaughtered? Cowards? Orders? What gives? Somebody needs to answer for this horrible lack of bravado that should pump through the veins of every police officer on duty. To put it plainly, you screwed up on this, real bad. My condolences go out to those who were slaughtered in this event, and especially to the heros who gave there own lives to save others.

The Ghost Yacht

April 20, 2007 1 comment

Everybody loves a good mystery, and this is certainly one. A yacht was found off the coast of Australia with no crew, however engines were still running along with computers and even a table set with food! SPOOKY! Loss of life is never a good thing, so condolences for those families who lost someone through this incident. So, back to the spooky ghost yacht, what a weird thing that this sort of thing keeps happening. Maybe there was a big fight between the crew and they threw each other off the boat, or maybe it was the KRAKEN! Of course if that was the case there would be no boat left. Aliens, kraken, bitter mutiny, Mer-Man, rouge waves, whatever the case may be, this sounds like a case for Scooby-Doo and Mystery Inc.!

Seung-Hui Cho Was a Mind Controlled Assassin

April 20, 2007 Leave a comment

Seung-Hui Cho was a mind-controlled assassin, even aside from clear evidence of influence from outside parties, the fact is that the cultural brainwashing of violent video games and psychotropic drugs directly contributed, as it does in all these cases, to the carnage at Virginia Tech on Monday morning.

Monday Night Inferno!

April 17, 2007 Leave a comment

My Monday night started like any other.

I was sitting at the computer waiting for 24 to come on. While I was sitting there I smelled what I thought was someone burning a campfire. I decided to get up and check it out since its not something you smell very often. I followed my nose to the garage and didn’t see anything. I decided to open the garage just to see what I could see…..

The house across the street from me, and I mean directly across the street from me, was engulfed in thick black smoke that was blowing right at my house. I yelled for my wife and she grabbed her phone and started to call 911. It has been pretty dry here recently and I knew that I had to be ready for anything now. I got my hose hooked up in the front of the house as fast as I could and waited.

It didn’t take long for the hot embers to start coming my way. The wind that had been howling all day was still in full effect and blowing right at my house. The fire seemed to start on the opposite end of the house in the garage, but it quickly made its way toward us.

The fire trucks showed up and got set-up. Thankfully one truck laid hoses out in my yard and his only job was to hose down mine and my neighbors houses. I was most relieved when he started to do that.

At one point when I was watching this all unfold I remember looking at the roof of the house that was burning and seeing huge jets of flame shoot out where vents used to be. That was a sight to behold.

From the talk amongst the neighbors we pieced together the following. The lady(who wasn’t home when it happened) used to own a pet store and had a lot of animals there. She bred shar-peis (SP?), had pot-bellied pigs, lizards, snakes(venomous), rats, and monkeys. I know that the dogs, except for one who was hit on the main road made it out, I think all the pigs made it, monkeys survived, and at least one iguana. Needless to say I had NO idea all that stuff was in the house.

I have never experienced anything like this before. Looking at the sky and seeing it covered with red embers floating by was quite surreal. No person was hurt, but I’m not sure about the animals. I’m just thankful that my house was spared through the ordeal.

Video: Virginia Tech Shooting Sounds- Cell Phone Video

April 16, 2007 Leave a comment

“Shocking news from Virginia Tech, where at least 21 are dead following a shooting rampage this morning. The gunman is dead, according to university police chief Wendell Flinchum, who said that some of the victims were shot in a classroom.

Some 20 students were killed at the campus’ Norris Hall, home of Virginia Tech’s electical engineering.”

This video will almost turn your stomach to know what was happening while those shots were being fired. I’m not real sure what it says about the police who are just wandering around hiding behind trees, while students get slaughtered. From the sound of the shots, it sounds like a rifle of some sort, most hand guns just sound like a popping noise. What is going to come of all this? Most likely your right to bear arms will be removed. Bye Bye Constitution it was nice while you were around.

See the VodPod below for the video.

The New Bruce Banner / Incredible Hulk IS Edward Norton!

April 16, 2007 Leave a comment

“That Ang Lee directed Hulk movie that came out in 2003 is going to be lost forever when we finally are hit with The Incredible Hulk coming out in the summer of 2008 now that Edward Norton has been cast as Bruce Banner also known as The Hulk!”

Im am SOOO glad they are going to try again with this character. Ang Lee really went off the deep end with his earth-worship Hulk. Hulk is about rage, not moss and rocks. Nice try Mr. Lee.
